Fun St. Patricks Day DIY Round Up
I do not know how time get's past me so quickly some days but here we are it's March 1st already and that can only mean one thing. St. Patricks Day is coming!
I love holidays, even the smaller ones because it gives me a reason to change up the decor in our home and make something new. That way when I walk in the door with another bag from the craft store and my husband shakes his head at me I'm prepped with a holiday excuse!
Ignore the bag in the trunk of my car. He'll never notice!
So while I sit over here doing my best Monty Burns with each supply I put on my list for the craft store I thought I'd share a St. Patricks Day Craft Round-up.
I started with a few basic pieces that I knew I could reuse multiple times in different crafts. This Felt Shamrock from Molly and Mama is a perfect example. Felt is a must-have staple to keep on hand. It's inexpensive and it's completely versatile! Lauren from Molly and Mama makes some beautiful things! Be sure to check her out.
This Shamrock Bow is a great piece because it can be made in so many shapes, sizes and with different ribbons that it makes for a great piece to do over and over again.
I also thought these Paper Shamrocks from Hoosier Homemade were really cute and thought they also have some potential to be spread across a few projects.
So let's jump in! I'm ready to start making some great stuff!
BANNERS, BUNTINGS AND GARLANDS
Shamrock and Poms - This garland is so simple and adorable. With 3 simple supplies and a few tools, this is quick and cute!
Shamrock Garland - This is a great DIY that even your kids can get involved with.
And it's hard to pass up a Free Printable Banner and this one from Paper Trail Designs is perfect!
Glitter Striped Mason Jars - TGIF! No, not Thank God it's Friday, it's the fabulous ladies over at This Grandma is Fun! I love them and this is a great tutorial for a glittered mason jar. I see no need for further explanation...there is glitter involved!
Hand Tinted Mason Jars - These hand tinted jars are stunning. Now I admit this is not something I've ever tried but it's on my crafting bucket list. They turn out so beautiful and it makes the options just endless on future crafts. The ladies from Chica Circle put together a great tutorial.
I also found this super easy tutorial for a Scalloped Edge Glitter jar on YouTube. You can't go wrong with glitter and gold!
It's not possible to craft some holiday decor without making a fun wreath!
Deco Mesh Leprechaun Wreath - Cute, Easy and she did it for less than $5.00! You have to check it out.
Burlap Wrap Shamrock Wreath - Another Dollar Store DIY! I love these and it sure makes changing the decor in our home more reasonable. Check it out!
St. Patty's Day Yarn Wreath - The texture of this yarn gives this wreath a beautiful look. It just reminds me of a grass Irish field.
Shamrock of Greens - This is made from clippings from bushes in her yard! I was blown away and I love the end result. While this is tougher then some of the others the end result is worth the effort.
There are so many great St. Patricks Day Crafts out there. What are a few of your favorites?
